How to Align Your Business Strategy With the REAL You!

If you’re running your own business, then you probably know what it feels like to be overwhelmed with entrepreneurial advice.

“Do X, don’t do Y, never do Z…” it can be confusing, to say at least. And more often than not, none of those things seem to work for you!

So where’s the catch?

The catch is that in order for your strategy to work, you need to align it not only with your brand but with your own set of values too.

Here’s some advice on how to create a more customized plan for growing your business…

Avoid the one-size-fit-all advice

Post twice per week on Instagram and show up on stories five days a week, people will love that! Host a networking webinar, it’s a way to find loads of potential clients. Aim to reach out to 150 new people per week, you have to do the direct pitch thing!

Sounds familiar, huh?

Advice like this can be seen almost everywhere… but does that mean it’s the right advice for your business?

Well, most likely — not. And it certainly doesn’t replace having a strategy in place!

Be wary of generic advice that gets you lost in the minutiae work and removes the big picture out of sight. If you’re doing something, then know exactly why you’re doing it and what you expect to get out of it.

Know your exact WHY…

…and remove the guesswork whether something’s right for you or not!

Let me explain.

Your WHY is the foundation of your passion-based business, the foundation on which everything else is built. It’s the place where your purpose resides, the place from which you operate.

When you know exactly who you are, where you’re coming from, and what you want to do, it’s so much easier to decide if following a certain path is right for you.

Let’s say, if you’re here to help postpartum moms get back their old shine, then following a business coach’s strategy (who happened to get famous on Reddit) is most likely not what’s going to work for you, no matter…
